Kawasaki's Laconi and Nieto in Top Ten at Monza

A good beginning for the Kawasaki PSG-1 Corse team which started this week end with great results. Regis Laconi scored the best fourth time using a soft tyre, with a gap of just 6" from the pole of Toseland. The Frenchman has been constant during all the session and he sprinted in the right moment even if he still suffers some chattering  problems in the front. Tenth time for Fonsi Nieto who put all his attention  in the optic of the race. Fonsi  has still some work to do in terms of setting up and he has to choose the  right tyre to use this Sunday.

REGIS LACONI:

" This is a very good result for the spirit, I really needed it. We have the right set up for this track and this made us competitive from the beginning of this week end. We are not completely done, we still have some chattering especially bending to the right so we have to work to be in the perfect conditions for the races. Tomorrow I want to confirm this position but I think I can even do better".

FONSI NIETO:

" I'm quite satisfied, it's a completely different situation compared to the last rounds. Today we especially worked in the race optic 'cause to be among the 16th of the superpole is not a problem. We can say to be in the right way but we still have to try some different solutions 'cause I still have to choose between the soft tyre and the hard one and everyone knows that this make the difference so we have to value the choice".

MAURO SANCHINI:

" I did quite good considering that it's an year and a half that I didn't ride a Superbike. I'm satisfied for the time, just  2" from the pole, not so satisfied for the position 'cause I'm not among the 16th of the Superpole. There's still time to reach them 'cause we are improving. We are trying different solutions for the rear, that includes different set up of the suspensions and I think we can obtain some important results".
